1 · Your coach level
Five levels, from Trainee to Master
| Level | What you need to move up |
|---|---|
| Trainee Coach | Starting level |
| Coach | Valid NROC/NREP, First Aid and MOE registration |
| Senior Coach | 150 approved hours + 75% performance score |
| Lead Coach | 400 approved hours + 80% performance score + ready to lead |
| Master Coach | 1,000 approved hours + 85% performance score + ready to mentor other coaches |
For every promotion, you also need less than 5 active demerit points and no unresolved serious concern on your record.
Meeting the requirements makes you eligible. The move itself is always approved by the Momentum operations team. Your Performance tab shows your current level, approved hours, score, and exactly what you still need.
2 · What jobs can I accept?
Your level or below. Never above.
Every role names a minimum level. If you're a Senior Coach, you can accept:
| Trainee Coach roles | ✓ |
| Coach roles | ✓ |
| Senior Coach roles | ✓ |
| Lead Coach roles | ✗ |
| Master Coach roles | ✗ |
One thing before any of this: you need a profile photo uploaded (a clear photo of your own face, in your Profile tab) before you can accept anything. If the operations team asks for a different one, re-upload before accepting again.
3 · What is a Project Manager?
A role on a programme, not a level you hold
A job may post a role like this:
Project Manager · Minimum level: Senior Coach · Pay: $80
If you meet the minimum level, you can accept it. The Project Manager leads the coaching team on that programme, keeps things coordinated, and handles communication with the client. Same rules as any other role, and higher levels can step into it too.
4 · Pending vs Confirmed
Two different confirmations. Check both.
The job itself. "Pending confirmation" means the school or client hasn't fully confirmed the programme yet. "Confirmed" means it's going ahead.
Your own spot. Even after you tap Accept, your spot first shows Pending. The operations team approves you, and it changes to Confirmed.
So before you plan your week around a job: check that both the job and your own spot say Confirmed.
5 · Multi-day & weekly programmes
Two ways a programme with many dates can be posted
Per day. Each date is accepted on its own. Take Week 1 and Week 3, skip Week 2, entirely up to you.
Whole series. One card, one Accept button, covers every date. It's labeled with how many dates it spans.
Whole-series pay, worked out:
| 10-week programme, total pay | $500 |
| That works out to, per completed date | $50 |
| You leave after completing 4 dates | $200 |
You keep what your completed dates paid, nothing more, nothing less. Your accepted jobs show the whole series as one card, each date listed with its own confirmation status, and you can drop a single date without leaving the rest of the series.
6 · How pay works
Always check the rate shown before you accept
A role can pay differently per level. Example:
| Coach filling the job | Pay |
|---|---|
| Trainee Coach | $30 |
| Coach | $50 |
| Senior Coach | $60 |
You're paid the rate for the level you hold, for that role. Accept it as a Coach, you receive the Coach rate.
A job can also post separate roles, say Coach Role at $45 and Lead Coach Role at $70. If you're a Master Coach but choose the Coach Role, you receive $45, because that's the role you accepted.
Your pay is locked in the moment you accept. Get promoted before the programme happens? The pay for jobs you already accepted doesn't change, in either direction.
7 · Your performance score
Two parts, one number
| Area | Weight |
|---|---|
| Customer feedback | 40% |
| Supervisor / lead coach ratings | 60% |
Customer feedback starts at full marks. Verified complaints bring it down, verified compliments nudge it up. Feedback only counts once the operations team has verified it.
Lead ratings come from programmes you've worked. Haven't received one yet? It shows N/A, and your score rests on feedback alone until your first rating comes in. You're never marked down just for not having data.
Demerit points are separate. They don't reduce this percentage. They're their own pass/fail check: below 5 active points, or no promotion, no matter how high the score is.
8 · Demerit points
For attendance, reliability and conduct issues
| Issue | Points |
|---|---|
| Late 1–10 mins | 1 |
| Late 11–30 mins | 2 |
| Late more than 30 mins | 3 |
| Leave early without approval | 3 |
| Cancel with notice, no valid reason | 2 |
| Cancel at short notice, no valid reason | 4 |
| Fail to follow required procedure | 4 |
| No-show, genuine emergency | Case-by-case |
| No-show, no reason given | 10 |
| Repeated no-shows | Case-by-case |
The operations team can also log points for something not on this list, with the reason noted and points set case-by-case.
What your active points mean:
| Active points | Status |
|---|---|
| 0–2 | All clear |
| 3–5 | Keep an eye on it |
| 6–9 | Needs attention |
| 10–14 | Serious concern |
| 15+ | Account review |
At 5 active points, promotion stops until you're back below 5. Lateness points reset after 365 days without another lateness incident. Other points don't reset automatically, the operations team reviews and removes them.
9 · Checking in for a job
Scan the QR at the venue. Then get approved.
On the day: open your Schedule, tap Check In, scan the QR code posted at the venue. That confirms you were physically there.
Checking in alone doesn't approve the hours. The operations team approves your attendance, and once approved:
✓ Your pay is recorded ✓ Your coaching hours are added ✓ Those hours count toward promotion
10 · Coach ratings
After a programme, the lead rates the team
The Project Manager or lead coach rates each coach who worked with them, 1 to 5, on:
Coaching & technical ability · Punctuality & reliability · Communication & teamwork · Professionalism & attitude
These feed the supervisor/lead 60% of your score. If you're the lead, you'll see the rating prompt on your own Schedule tab once the job has ended, and the operations team may also rate how you ran the programme.
Getting paid
Monthly statement, then sign the receipt
At the end of each month, a payment statement is generated from all your approved jobs. Find it under Performance › Payroll, along with your estimated pay for the current month.
Payment is normally made within 5 working days after the month ends (Monday to Friday count as working days). Once it's paid, open the statement and sign the receipt, type your full name, tick the box, done in ten seconds.
Until you sign a paid receipt, you can't accept new jobs. Also add your bank details in your Profile tab so the operations team can pay you.
The main things to remember
Five lines, that's the whole system
Want a job? Your level must meet the minimum shown.
Accepted one? Wait until your own spot shows Confirmed.
Your pay? It's the rate shown when you accept, locked in from that moment.
On the day? Scan the venue QR, then your hours get approved.
Moving up? Hours + score + under 5 demerit points + the operations team's sign-off.
